MEDICAL
MISSION SISTERS
The Medical Mission Sisters are an
international religious community of women who dedicate
themselves to a life and mission of healing in needy
areas of the world. Their 700 members are of every race
and many nations - all women, motivated by healing.
Founded in 1925, by Anna Dengel, M.D., today the Sisters
serve the sick in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South
America
For more than six decades, Medical Mission Sisters have
shared their talents with underprivileged peoples
throughout the world. Encompassing a broad spectrum of
curative and preventive medicine, community development
and social welfare programmes, training and self-help
projects, the Sisters are vitally involved in the health
and development of people. In thirty-three countries
throughout the world, Medical
Mission Sisters are providing the opportunity for people
to gain access to the basic necessities of life and to
achieve a human standard of existence with dignity and
self-respect.
