Male Reproductive System

is concerned with production and delivery of sperms. Sperms are produced in the testis that is located in the scrotal sac. The testes or testicles is located outside the body because it requires lower than body temperature to produce sperms. The scrotum has two testes, one on each side. Sperms are continuously produced in the testis and then passed into the epididymis where they are stored. The sperms mature over 2-3 weeks. Shortly before ejaculation, sperm are propelled from the epididymis through a long tube called the vas deferenes, into the seminal vesicles where seminal fluid is manufactured and added to the sperm to produce semen, which is also known as ejaculate.
